Mi 10i vs Realme X7

After the launch of Mi 10i, it revived the 25k price segment. Then, Realme saw an opportunity and launched their new phone in the 'X' series that is the X7.

Today we'll compare both of these phones and see which one is the better pick.

DESIGN & BUILT

The Mi 10i comes with a glossy Glass back with textured finish  whereas the Realme X7 comes with a glossy finished polycarbonate back. For safety, Mi 10i comes with Gorilla Glass 5 and the X7 comes with Gorilla Glass 3. In thickness and weight Mi 10i feels heavy as well as bulky as it weighs 219g at 9mm of thickness whereas the X7 is better in in-hand feels as it is quite lighter and doesn’t feel bulky at all. The X7 weighs 183g at 8.3mm of thickness. One advantage that the Mi 10i has over the X7 is that, the Mi 10i is IP-53 rated i.e. it can handle splashes of water easily.

One advantage that the Mi 10i has is the 120hz refresh rate which makes the phone buttery smooth. And one advantage X7 has is the sAMOLED display which is ahead of this IPS display used in the Mi 10i.

SOFTWARE

Both these phones have their own custom UI i.e. Mi 10i has MIUI 12 and Realme X7 has Realme UI 1.0 . Both are decent enough, but in my opinion Realme UI is a better choice as it has better RAM management and the UI is kind of better than MIUI as it has less Ads and bloatware.


PORTS & AUDIO

Both phone has all the same ports except the 3.5mm headphone jack which is not found in Realme X7. One advantage that Mi 10i has is the hybrid Sim slot. You might be wondering why is it an advantage? because the X7 only has a dual Sim slot. You can't put any SD card in it and that too in this price range. For the audio, as the Mi 10i supports dual stereo speakers it is simply ahead of the Realme X7.


SECURITY & BIOMETRICS

Both the smartphones support Face Unlock, and both work equally well. The difference here is for the fingerprint sensor. Mi 10i has a side mounted fingerprint sensor whereas the Realme X7 has in-display fingerprint scanner. Mi 10i simply wins as, it has a side mounted fingerprint scanner. But Realme X7's in-display fingerprint scanner looks really cool.

In my opinion if you don't have any budget issue simply go with the Mi 10i as it is a better package overall. I am not saying Realme X7 is a bad phone or it lack features. It has almost everything Mi 10i has, but in Mi 10i those features are a bit better overall.

Samsung Galaxy A52 & A72

Now you might be wondering why am I reviewing both the phone at the same time, It's because both the phones are very identical to each other. But...
