However on the right are the volume rockers and power button which also works as a fingerprint sensor. Towards the bottom are the type-C port, main mic and a speaker grill. SOFTWARE

The phone runs a custom OS that is the ONE UI 3.1 with Android 11. For security it has KNOX 3.1 which protects your phone from unwanted sources. Also it does not get any bloatware. With its 90Hz panel the UI is smooth & quick.

  • v  Dual band Wi
  • v  GPS
  • v  Dual 4G VOLTE

Additional features- Widewine L1 even after having an HD+ display, Camera 2 api and supports all the necessary sensors but lacks the gyroscope sensor.

AUDIO

Audio quality is pretty good. Loudness & Music quality are decent. Even the 3.5mm headphone jack works well as tested by some popular tech reviewers.

SECURITY & BIOMETRICS

Has a side mounted fingerprint sensor and a Face Unlock, both are good.

DISPLAY

The display is 6.5inch HD+ water drop 90Hz TFT display but with a visible chin. The display is very bright (considering it's TFT panel), viewing angles are good enough. Multimedia experience will be decent. (As tested by some popular tech reviewers).

The processor is the Exynos 850. The processor is very efficient. It can do day-to-day tasks easily but cannot do gaming. I mean it can do gaming but if it is set to low graphics.

On brief :

8nm

CPU

ARM Cortex A-55

GPU

Mali G52 MP1

BATTERY

It has a massive 6000mah battery with support for 15W fast charging, which will charge the phone from 0-100% in around 2-3Hrs. The battery will easily lasts upto 1-1.5 day with normal day to day usage.

FRONT CAMERA

FEATURES

On-paper the specs look satisfying but the good thing about the primary lens is that its a true 48mp camera. It means in other 48mp phone there is a process called pixel binning. It will take 12mp shots only, until and unless you turn on the 48mp mode. But in this phone it will automatically take 48mp shot which will be a bit better on detailing as compared to other 48mp phones of this price range.

PRICE & OPINION

Variant

Price

Rs 10,999

6/128gb

Rs 13,499

So in my opinion if you want a budget phone of around 11-12k with good battery backup, decent display and decent camera, do checkout this phone.

The Altroz is Tata’s latest, most modern, and the best looking car yet. It will go up against the Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Now when launched sometime next month  if it is priced significantly less then both the Baleno and the i20  then it will make really sweet deal.
