Realme X7 & X7 pro : Difference

Realme launched their new phones in the X series the X7 and the X7 pro. Which are actually the successors to the Realme X3 series. As you all know the X3 and X3 superzoom were pretty similar. So, today we'll find the difference between the X7 and the X7 pro.

1. BOX CONTENTS

Both the phones get the same box contents that are the device itself,  Transparent case, Type-C cable, 65 watt Super VOOC charger, Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack and some device related papers.

2. DESIGN

Design of these phones are pretty similar from the front. Changes are identical from the rear as the X7 has triple camera setup and the X7 pro has quad camera setup. Another change comes in the color of both these phones. They both have different colored back.

3. IN-HAND FEEL

The in-hand feel of these phones are pretty decent as the X7 weighs around 176g whereas the X7 pro weighs around 184g i.e. very less when compared to its competitors. Secondly, the width of both these phones is quite good, and because of it, it gives a good grip when holding either of these phones.

When it comes to physical overview, both phones are exactly the same. Starting from the bottom- there is a type-C port, speaker grill and a dual sim slot (no slot for SD card),  coming towards the right there's a power button, on the top there's a secondary mic and earpiece, and finally on the left there are volume buttons.

NOTE: There is no headphone jack on both the phones

4. SOFTWARE

Both phones comes with the same software that is Realme UI 1.0 with Android 10 but the good is that they don't have any banned apps or system ads. So, the software experience turn out to be very good.

5. RAM & STORAGE

Both the phones comes with the same ram and the same storage too i.e. UFS 2.1 storage and LPDDR4X ram. On paper the storage is very similar to other realme phones or even the competitors but because of the processor used in both of these phones, the experience becomes very good.

6. AUDIO 

The difference comes, when we talk about the speakers. The X7 comes with a single speaker whereas the PRO come with dual stereo speakers which are very loud.

7. SECURITY & BIOMETRICS

Both phones comes with In-display fingerprint sensor and Face unlock/recognition.

Both work pretty well.

8.  CONNECTIVITY 

Both phones comes with bluetooth 5.1, Wi-fi calling, dual 4G VOLTE, GPS Glonass, and most importantly the 5G. The difference comes in Wi-fi i.e. the X7 comes with  2.4/5 GHz whereas the PRO comes with dual band Wi-fi and another where X7 pro leads is that it has NFC whereas X7 simply doesn't have it.

9. DISPLAY 

Both phones comes with single punch hole.

The X7 comes with a 6.4 inch sAMOLED 60hz panel with 180hz touch sampling rate, 600 nits brightness and 90.8% Screen to body ratio.

The X7 pro comes with 6.55 inch sAMOLED 120hz panel with 240hz touch sampling rate, 1200 nits brightness and 91.6% Screen to body ratio.

There is a bit advantage in the X7 pro means it has gorilla glass 5

10. PERFORMANCE 

The performance of both the phones is very different because the X7 features a Mediatek dimensity 800u whereas the PRO features Mediatek dimensity 1000+ . Both phones are very powerful. Both can do heavy gaming also. The processor also very efficient as both the processors are 7nm.

11. BATTERY 

There is not much of a difference between the two phones as the X7 powers a 4310mAh and the PRO powers 4500mAh . Both phones will be very efficient because the processors used are both based on 7nm fabrication.

When it comes to charging, both phones are bundled with the 65watt Super VOOC charger, but unfortunately the X7 supports upto 50watts. Both phones recharge the phones very fast.

X7 - 50% charge in 18minutes and full charge takes around 50-60 minutes.

X7 pro - Full charge takes around 35minutes

14. OPINION

In my opinion, both phones are really good and powerful, in simple words they are all-rounder. Both phones are pretty much same in many aspects. Pricing for the X7 is very competitive and i think it's the best phone under 20k as of now. But, the pricing for the X7 Pro is little bit on a higher side it should be around 27k but still is a decent phone to consider.
