Samsung Galaxy F62

Yesterday on 15th Feb 2021 Samsung launched there new lineup that is the F series and the phone launched was F62. Today we're going to see the specs and see how good the phone really is. 

1. BOX CONTENTS

Firstly, there is a sim ejector pin with some paper work, the device itself, a type-C cable and a 25watt fast charger. Surprisingly there is no case in the box.

2. DESIGN & BUILT

The design of this phone is same as the recently launched Samsung Galaxy M51. Yeah you guessed it right it's the same glossy polycarbonate back with Quad rear camera.

Physical overview: On the front it's a 6.7inch infinity O display, on the back there's a quad rear camera setup with a flash and also Samsung branding, on the right there are volume rockers & a power button which works as fingerprint reader. On the left there's a dedicated micro SD card slot, on the top there's a secondary mic and finally at the bottom there's a speaker grill, a mic and a type-C port.

The phone weighs 220 grams and is 9.5mm thick. Impressive! right, Samsung has done a great job in making the phone slim and light weight keeping in mind the humongous 7000mah battery.

5. SENSORS

All the important sensors that are the gyroscope sensor, proximity sensor and many other sensors even NFC is also available in this phone.

6. DISPLAY

The display is the key highlighting point in this smartphone. This is the display which even some flagship phones don't offer  

7. AUDIO

This phone though has a single speaker but it is quiet loud as reviewed by some tech reviewers. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack that works really well even with high-end headphones, and it gives tough competition to it's rivals   

8. SOFTWARE

This phone has a custom UI i.e. One UI 3.1 with the latest android 11. It runs very fast & smooth keeping in mind the 60hz panel. One advantage over others in this phone is the Samsung pay with NFC, and for more security it has KNOX 3.7 which protects the phone from any unauthorized source. One more thing in this phone is that it has ALT Z life. It's basically quick switch feature which was previously in Galaxy A series and also it's good for security and privacy. 

9. BIOMETRICS & SECURITY

Phone has a side mounted fingerprint sensor that is very fast and face unlock is also decent, not the best at this price as it takes 1-2 seconds to unlock.

10 PERFORMANCE

One stand out feature in this phone is the processor. It's none other than Exynos 9825, the 2019 flagship processor, also found in Samsung Galaxy Note 10. This is a 7nm processor that is clocked at 2.7GHz. On the GPU, it's the Mali G76  12 Core GPU.                                                                                             Day-to-day work will be very smooth even the gaming will be very smooth and you can also play the games at high graphics without any lag. 

11. BATTERY

The phone has a whopping 7000mah battery with a 25watt fast charger. This phone can last upto 2 days with normal usage and 1-1.5 day with heavy usage. The 25watt charger will be a bit slower as it has to charge this huge 7000mah battery. One good thing with this 7000mah battery is, it can do power share i.e. charging other phones (with a cable). In simple words it is also known as reverse charging.

12. CAMERA

It has a quad rear camera setup that is the 64mp + 12mp + 5mp +5mp.

The 64mp is the primary camera that is the Sony Imx 682 sensor. It can shoot videos at 4k (EIS). Also it has features like night mode, single take, slow motion and even super slow motion video.

The 12mp is the Ultra wide angle camera

One 5mp camera is for macro and the other one is for the portrait mode.

On the front there's a 32mp shooter. Surprisingly! It has all the features that the rear camera has.

The camera is overall an excellent one and we all know Samsung phones are the best even in the budget segment.  

13 PRICE & OPINION

The phone comes in two variants i.e. 6/128gb and 8/128gb. The pricing for the 6/128gb is Rs 23,999 and for the 8/128gb is Rs 25,999.

There is one bank offer that is if you use ICICI Bank Credit & Debit card you can get upto Rs 2500/- off.

In conclusion, I just want to say that It's A FEATURE PACK SMARTPHONE. I can also say it's the best mid-ranger by Samsung. It has a good processor, good camera, great display, and a huge 7000mah battery. So, if you have a budget around 25k, Go for it.
