Samsung Galaxy A32: Buy or Skip...?

Samsung launched there new phone in the A series, which is the A32. Let's see how good or how bad the phone is ??

BOX CONTENTS

Firstly, there is a sim ejector pin with some paper work, the device itself, a type-C cable and a 15watt fast charger. Surprisingly there is no case in the box, considering it’s price.

DESIGN & BUILT

The design of the phone is now different as it looks completely mismatched from other Samsung phones. It looks quiet appealing from the back.

The phone weighs at around 183 grams and has a thickness of 8.3mm. Samsung managed to put in a 5000mah battery even in this sleeker and light weight design, So thumbs up to them.

For the physical overview, Top is the secondary mic, towards the right there’s the volume rockers and the power button, on the left there’s a dedicated micro SD card, towards the bottom there are ports for the speaker grill, mic, type-C port and a headphone jack. On the back is the Quad camera setup. Front is the 6.4 inch display. Now you would be wondering where is the fingerprint scanner? It’s an under-display fingerprint scanner.

3. RAM & STORAGE

  • RAM- LPDDR4X
  • STORAGE- EEMC 5.1

 4. CONNECTIVITY

  • Bluetooth version 5
  • Dual band Wi-fi
  • Wi-fi calling
  • Dual 4G VOLTE
  • GPS
Additional features- Wide wine L1 and Camera 2Api

5. SENSORS

All the important sensors that are the gyroscope sensor, proximity sensor and many other sensors.

6. DISPLAY

6.4inch FHD+ Infinity U 90Hz sAMOLED display

20:9 Aspect ratio

Gorilla glass 3

800nits of peak brightness

The display is the key highlighting point in this smartphone. Display is quiet bright, viewing angles are good and overall display is decent enough.

7. AUDIO

This phone has a single speaker but it is quiet loud as reviewed by some tech reviewers. Bass is on point. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack that works really well.

8. SOFTWARE

This phone has a custom UI i.e. One UI 3.1 with the latest android 11. It will run very fast with its 90hz panel. For security it has KNOX 3.7 which protects the phone from any unauthorized source. One more thing in this phone is that it has ALT Z life. It's basically quick switch feature which was previously in Galaxy A series and also it's good for security and privacy.

9. BIOMETRICS & SECURITY

Phone has an under display fingerprint sensor and face unlock. Both take 1-2 seconds to unlock the phone. But the good thing is that it has an under display finger print sensor at this price.

10 PERFORMANCE

There is a major upgrade in the performance from its predecessor as now the processor is Mediatek Helio G80, But a massive downgrade for the price. I don't know why Samsung uses this type of processor. Don't get me wrong, the processor is good but only for a price tag of around 10-12k. It's simply not justified at 22k. The processor can handle day to day tasks easily and can even handle games like COD and Pubg mobile (KR) at medium to high settings. But again, Samsung should have used a better processor.

11. BATTERY

The phone has a 5000mah battery with a so called 15watt fast charger. This phone can last upto 1-1.5 days with normal usage and 1 day with heavy usage. The 15watt charger will be a bit slower as it has to charge this huge 5000mah battery.

12. CAMERA

It has a quad rear camera setup that is the 64mp + 8mp + 5mp +5mp.

The 64mp is the primary camera that is the Samsung sensor. It can shoot videos at 1080p (EIS). Also it has features like night mode, single take, slow motion, etc.

The 8mp is the Ultra wide angle camera

One 5mp camera is for macro and the other one is for the portrait mode.

On the front there's a 20mp shooter.

On paper, The camera is overall a good one and we all know Samsung phones has one of the best cameras even in the budget- midrange segment.

13 PRICE & OPINION

The phone is priced at Rs 21,999 for 6/128. There is only one variant. But, there are two color options- Black and Blue.

There is no doubt that the phone is on the expensive side. But we all know Samsung A series targets offline markets (as the offline consumers are fooled by retailers very easily) and easily sells millions and millions of phones.

Tata ALTROZ!! Best hatchback under 10L

The Altroz is Tata’s latest, most modern, and the best looking car yet. It will go up against the Hyundai i20 and the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. Now when launched sometime next month  if it is priced significantly less then both the Baleno and the i20  then it will make really sweet deal. And we say that because to begin with the Altroz is based on a new,  modular platform called Alpha. It is lighter than what Tata Motors has been producing so far. The platform is also better built in terms of safety and overall stiffness. Needless to say it meets all future safety norms in India. But you can’t really see the platform or its underpinnings. What you can see is this beautifully designed car and the uniqueness of the Altroz’s design comes from its  front end which is more cliff like instead of sweeping thing that we are used to. Plus the ...
